	SPOTLIGHT: Owen Sloane Owen Sloane, an expert on contract negotiations in the entertainment industry, digital content delivery and copyright, has been retained as an expert witness and testified in complex liability and damage cases involving the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, the Baltimore Orioles, and RealNetworks. Following Owen's testimony in September, a federal jury decided that Rod Stewart should pay the Rio $2 million plus interest for a canceled show. His testimony also helped to secure a $4 million verdict for Reznor and a favorable settlement for RealNetworks. In another matter, Owen testified on behalf of the plaintiffs, a group of concert promoters. The jury returned a $3 million verdict against the defendants.
