	Janice Ramsay Recognized as Outstanding Mentor Berger Kahn principal Jan Ramsay was recently recognized in the Los Angeles Daily Journal as an outstanding mentor. Attorney Edith Matthai, a legal malpractice lawyer who was named one of California's Top 75 Women Litigators for 2005, said that Jan taught her that "'tough' was quiet determination, not noisy and classless hyperbole." "Mentoring others has helped me to give back," said Jan, who appeared on the front cover of the Daily Journal. "It provides a special kind of satisfaction. You know you have made an important contribution to others when you take the time to mentor another person." Jan focuses her practice on property insurance coverage issues, bad faith litigation and subrogation matters. She is invited to speak at many industry seminars, including the annual Property Loss Bureau's claims conference, where she has taught courses on property insurance losses, coverage, appraisal and investigation issues.
