Craig S. Simon, managing principal at Berger Kahn in Orange County and a co-counsel for homeowner insurance carriers in the 2007 Grass Valley and Malibu fire cases, is quoted in an article examining alleged utility company liability in California's wildfire litigation.

"The defendants like to concentrate on the awesome power of nature -- that God caused this," Simon said. "The fact is, too often it's their conduct and failure to take reasonable precautions that is really the crux of the case."
