Our Marina del Rey Office
Has Moved

4551 Glencoe Avenue, Suite 300, Marina del Rey, CA 90292-7925

LOS ANGELES, August 14, 2006 - Berger Kahn announced today that it has relocated its Marina del Rey office a short distance away to 4551 Glencoe Avenue, Suite 300. The phone number remains unchanged.

The move comes as scheduled, following the purchase of the firm's prior building, which will be converted to condominiums in the emerging Marina Loft District.

"We are all very excited about the move to our new location," said Allen L. Michel, managing partner of the Los Angeles office. "Our office has moved, but we will continue to offer the same great service to our clients."

Michel said the decision to stay in Marina del Rey was easy. "We are still only 10 minutes from LAX and even more convenient to our clients in the entertainment industry working or living on the Westside."

The new suite's public spaces are open and colorful, with filtered sunlight reaching the maple paneling surrounding every assistant's work station. These features were selected to underscore Berger Kahn's continuing emphasis on providing a "comfortable, uncluttered and friendly atmosphere for our staff and lawyers," Michel said.

Clients and friends familiar with Berger Kahn will recognize that the firm has retained some of the features that make it unique. Michel points out that before relocating its Los Angeles office to Marina del Rey in the mid-1980's, the firm's space in West Los Angeles was designed by then up-and-coming architect Frank Gehry, with all the humor and creativity that implies. And in its most recent location, the curved walls, neon lighting and porthole windows struck a more nautical theme.

"We wanted to retain the informal, collegial atmosphere that is part of the firm culture, but to translate that into 21st century design ideas," Michel said. Attorneys and staff still dress informally every day, a tradition that started decades before "casual Friday" was a well-worn phrase.

Wolcott Architecture · Interiors provided design services for the build-out.
